Paul Desmond: Theme from Black Orpheus

I honestly believe that Paul Desmond was one of the best saxophonist on this planet. I am a recent admirer of Desmond after discovering that he was the saxophonist on Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five”. I did some research on Desmond after this discovery and have been listening to every song that I can find of his.

“Theme from Black Orpheus” is without a doubt one of  Desmond’s best songs. It has that familiar easygoing tone that Desmond was known for. The track is so relaxing that any of the day’s troubles instantly vanish and you are replaced with a feeling of peace. Desmond’s light playing definitely has captivated my ears and I plan on checking out his entire discography.
