I have been listening to a lot of 90s R&B music and it has put me in a nostalgic mood to which I am going to post an old school R&B song daily or whenever I can. I am starting this off with Maxwell’s “Sumthin’ Sumthin”; a smooth neo-soul classic that has Maxwell grooving to a laid back sound. Tweet Minor Victories is a supergroup featuring Rachel Goswell of Slowdive, and Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai and Justin Lockey of Editors. The group is releasing their debut new album this year and “Breaking My Light” is track from that record. It features Goswell’s ethereal vocals and a shoegaze sound. Check it out above.
